This past year saw another solid record outing from Finnish jazz saxophone and flutist Timo Lassy, as he released the album In With Lassy. This is the first recording Lassy has put out on the Italian-based label Schema, with most of his previous material being released on Finland's Ricky-Tick Records. Musically, Lassy is in top-form, blending his brand of soul jazz with some funky mod-like grooves. Overall, it's a welcoming release (that should not be slept on) from one of Finland's most up-and-coming jazz artists.
