Let's end the week with a superb funky jazz gem titled "No Jive" by The Frank Derrick Total Experience. This track was featured on the group's very rare 1974 release You Betcha!, which is a live recording of the group performing at a Chicago nightclub called Fiddlers. The group is lead by drummer Frank Derrick III, which at the time of this recording, he was only 19 years old. The live album has an energetic, yet soulful spiritual groove throughout that at times has a slight bluesy feel in it's tone. Overall, this record continues to be one of the most rare and sought out by jazz collectors.
