Joe Henderson - Foregone Conclusion

Here is another classic gem titled "Foregone Conclusions" from saxophonist Joe Henderson during his time recording with Milestone. This funky jazz masterpiece was included on Henderson's 1972 album Black is the Color. This recording came at a time when the saxophonist was experimenting a lot with multi-instrumental layered over-dubbing, which was a new approach for many hard-bop jazz musicians whom were used to a more "live" approach in the studio. The session includes keyboardist George Cables, bassist Dave Holland and drummer Jack DeJohnette, who laid down the recordings foundation, while musicians like David Horowitz (synthesizer), Airto (percussion) and others were brought in afterwards to lay down additional tracks during the over-dubbing process. Overall, another solid recording session from Henderson's "Milestone years". ENJOY!
