I thought I would follow up my last post with another selection from Gary Bartz' Harlem Bush Music sessions. This track, titled "Celestial Blues", might be my favorite selection from either album that came out of the sessions. The jazz gem has a funky mid-tempo groove that includes solid lyrical saxophone lines from Bartz that play off of Andy Bey's soulful vocals. Another jazz-funk masterpiece from Bartz, who was one of the best in composing such brilliant crossover compositions. ENJOY!
