Don Salvador Trio

The UK record label Mr Bongo just reissued the hard-to-find 1965 Brazilian jazz album by the Dom Salvador Trio. The record features a solid blend of bossa and soulful jazz grooves by an impressive trio led by pianist and Brazilian great Dom Salvador. The record features a number of solid standout tracks including "Das Rosas", "Arrastao", "Chegou O Carnaval", "Rio E Sempre Rio", and my personal favorite "Tema Pro Gaguinho". Many consider Dom Salvador as one of the most important and influential Brazilian artist of his time and this mid-sixties masterpiece is easily one of the best bossa trio recordings I've ever heard.
