To finish up the tribute that I started last week for Eddie Palmieri, I thought I would begin this week with one more classic gem from the Latin jazz legend. Here is "Chocolate Ice Cream" from Palmieri's 1968 album Superimposition. This funky laid-back Latin groover, represents one of the pianist's most notable compositions. Enjoy!

Such a great track!! I'm hoping he performs it this week at the Hollywood Bowl as part of the Americas & Americans festival curated by Gustavo Dudamel.
