March 2012 Chart

Check out my newest DJ Chart over on the Juno Records website. Many notable great releases have come out over the past month since I posted my last chart including Alex Puddu's funky erotic masterpiece The Golden Age of Danish Pornography, Soundway Record's newest release in Rob's Make It Funky, an Afrobeat gem from Odu Afrobeat Orchestra, as well as some great new releases from Sofrito, Guynamukat, and Soul Jazz Records. It's safe to say that so far in 2012, there is definitely no shortage of great new releases.

Afro Funk - Obanya Special

January Chart

Today I posted a new DJ chart over on the Juno Records website. A lot of great releases including the much-anticipated second volume of Jazzman's Spiritual Jazz compilation, as well as new releases from 'new skool' Afrobeat juggernauts Fanga and Jaribu Afrobeat Arkestra. For jazz fans, I highly recommend checking out the new album All About Jazz from Kojato & The Afro Latin Cougaritas, as well the new reissue release of Bobby Hamilton Quintet Unlimited's funky hard-to-find masterpiece Dream Queen. With only being a little over a month into 2012, it's certainly looking like it's going to be another great year for new vinyl releases.

December Chart

Today I posted a new DJ chart over on the Juno Records website. A lot of great releases including the new Soundway and Soul Jazz compilations, as well as the new live album from Steve Reid and Keiran Hebden. I also included some funky new re-issues by artists like Harry Mosco, Black Truth Rhythm Band, Ray Oche Stephen, Cal Tjader, and many others. I am going to try to post my Best of 2011 chart next week, therefore check back again soon.

November Chart

Every month I post a new chart on the Juno Records website featuring some of my favorite new releases. The selections consists of re-edit twelves, new albums/singles, compilations, and re-issues. Every selection that I chart, I highly recommend checking out as their is a lot of great new records being released these days and I hope this will help promote some of these new releases.
