Here's another funky track from the Horace Silver Quintet titled "The Show Has Begun" from his 1970 album That Healin' Feelin'. This recording was the first of three recordings in a series Silver called the United States of Mind which showcased a slightly more experimental side to the legendary jazz pianist/ composer. This track features Andy Bey notably from Gary Bartz' NTU Troop. Being a fan of his soulful vocals, this track definitely resonated with me quite a bit. Enjoy!
